A Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularius) on a rocky shoreline at Deer Lake in Sasquatch Provincial Park (near Harrison Hot Springs, BC). I had initially seen 3 chicks on the beach that then ran off to hide in the tall grass. The adult male Spotted Sandpiper rears the chicks so this is most likely the father leading me away from where the chicks are hiding.
