Western Toad (Bufo boreas) Toadlet

This Western Toad (Bufo boreas) toadlet was found with hundreds of others along a hiking trail. After metamorphosing into toadlets the Western Toads leave the wetlands they grew up in and spread out into the forests where they may take up to 3 years to reach full size (they have a 10 year lifespan). The Western Toad is a yellow listed species, and is vulnerable to environmental shifts due to climate change.
