A Western Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio rutulus) feeding on nectar from Lavender flowers in a Fraser Valley garden. The adult Western Tiger Swallowtails are Nectarivores, feeding on nectar from flowers only. The immature caterpillars feed on plant leaves - mostly cottonwood and birch but including willows and wild cherry.
