A female Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) foraging for food in an old tree stump in the middle of Camosun Bog in Pacific Spirit Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The male Pileated Woodpecker has a red streak on it's cheek which makes identification of this individual as female relatively straightforward.
