Red-winged Blackbird "Song Spread" Display

A male Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) singing in the marsh at Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. This male is engaged in a "Song Spread" display - hunching his shoulders forward and spreading his tail. The "song spread" is a territorial defense display and also serves to attract females.
