Barred Owl (Strix varia) fledglings perched together on a branch. Barred Owl owlets can be fed by parents for months after leaving the nest while they learn to hunt for themselves. I did not draw the attention of these two very often while I was there. The young owl on the right was very interested in the Deer coming down the hill behind me (I had not heard it yet). Photographed at Campbell Valley Park in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
