Slender Toothwort (Cardamine nuttallii)

cardamine-nutalii-57629.jpg

I found these flowers along a forest trail in Ruckle Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island. Identification was a bit difficult, but I can safely say these are of the Genus Cardamine, which is a large species of flowering plants in the Mustard family (Brassicaceae). This is most likely Slender Toothwort (Cardamine nuttallii) which also goes by the names Beautiful Bittercress, Nuttall's Toothwort, and Palmate Toothwort.
