A Barred Owl (Strix varia) fledgling in the midst of a begging call while its sibling spots something in the forest. Barred Owl fledglings can be fed by parents for months after leaving the nest while they learn to hunt for themselves. An adult was heard hooting nearby but did not visit the owlets while I was there. Photographed at Campbell Valley Park in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
